Barreto.co is putting its latest acquisition, the Ikonoskop A-Cam dII, into action with the production of Nightfare. Co-producing with V-Films, Nightfare is a short-film to be directed by Marissa Llano and produced by Victor Stephanopoli

Synopsis:

Night Fare is about two idiotic London cabbies, who after inadvertently killing a prostitute are left driving around the streets of London at night trying to dispose of her body. The Protagonists Barry and Nigel aren’t the brightest and the events that night challenge more than just their miserable problem-solving skills. It all would have been so easy, but their dead guest has a rather uncanny appearance to a famous singer leading to some rather awkward situations. A road-trip fuelled on whisky paired with anger-management issues causes mayhem in this paradox black comedy, coming from the mean streets of London town. (Source: Nightfare at IndieGoGo)

This will be the first opportunity to give the Barreto.co’s Ikonoskop a proper working run through. Barreto.co is working very hard to ensure that everything goes smoothly during the production.

Now for its film services, Barreto.co main camera will be the small Swedish firm called Ikonoskop and the lenses that this camera will be using will be the German Carl Zeiss.

In photography, the main camera is also Swedish, the great Hasselblad and its lenses are also the German, Carl Zeiss, a wide range as well.

It has been one of the most challenging projects for Barreto.co and now we are submitting to film festivals.

We presented a proposal with a moodboard, carried out the shoot production and we also retouched some of the photographs.

The shoot took place in Lake District, UK, over two days.

The result has been the accumulation of over 18 hours of footage that is now being edited by Bastien Bourdeaux. Music has been commissioned to Fay Sebel.

We are hoping to have the documentary ready for a V&A Museum conference in early April.
